Submitted by: LGA

Luquire George Andrews (LGA), one of the Southeast region’s leading advertising, marketing and public relations agencies, today named Executive Vice President Peggy Brookhouse president of the 24-year-old firm. She succeeds founding partner Steve Luquire, who assumes the role of chief executive officer.

In her new role, Brookhouse will have direct responsibility for all departments and report directly to Luquire. Also as part of the move, Brookhouse becomes a partner in the firm.

Luquire co-founded LGA in 1984, building the business from a three-person shop to one of the Carolinas’ leading advertising, marketing and public relations agencies. In his new role as CEO, Luquire will continue to be involved on a daily basis in the agency’s services, including branding, strategic counsel, public relations and new business initiatives.

“Peggy has been instrumental in building our business since she joined LGA 10 years ago, and in fact her new title reflects many responsibilities she already has assumed,” said Luquire. “Her unwavering focus on doing the best work possible for our clients has earned her the respect and admiration of our clients as well as her colleagues, and makes her the perfect choice to lead LGA during this exciting period of unprecedented growth and opportunity.”

“I am so proud to be a part of this incredible organization and extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with such talented people,” said Brookhouse. “With Steve’s continued leadership, LGA’s exceptional staff and strong client relationships, I am very excited about what is to come.”

During Brookhouse’s tenure at LGA, the agency’s capitalized billings have grown significantly, staffing has doubled, and the agency’s client roster has grown to include an impressive mix of leaders in their industries.

With more than two decades in brand development and advertising, Brookhouse previously held senior positions at several agencies including Price/McNabb (now Eric Mower and Associates). An integral part of the Charlotte business community, Brookhouse was one of 25 businesswomen honored at the Charlotte Business Journal’s 11th Annual Women in Business Achievement Awards in 2007. Throughout her career Brookhouse has worked with start-ups, NYSE- and NASDAQ-listed companies, international brands and everything in between to deliver effective and measurable results.

“With Peggy as president and our exceptional senior leadership team in place, LGA has never been stronger and the work we do for our clients has never been better,” said Luquire. “As we head into our 25th year in 2009, I couldn’t be prouder.”
