Gretchen Voth, LGA Content Strategy Director, presented to the American Home Furnishings Alliance annual marketing conference June 27 on the topic: “The Power of Pinterest.” Voth presented on how companies can use Pinterest as a natural extension of their existing social media strategy to tell the brand story in a visual way. She used recent examples from the agency’s work promoting North Carolina tourism.
The social media darling of 2012, Pinterest is an online pinboard that allows users to organize and share the things they love from around the web. Today, there are nearly 12 million users, 97 percent of whom are female and many of whom are in the highly coveted 25-44 demographic.
