LGA was excited to work with pioneering Chef Wolfgang Puck to announce the opening of his new casual concept, WOLFGANG PUCK PIZZA | BAR, at Phillips Place in Charlotte. The world-famous chef and restaurateur visited Charlotte in June to work with Executive Chef Scott Wallen and staff, and welcome delighted guests.
“It’s wonderful to bring our first Pizza Bar to the Charlotte community,” said Puck. “We have been working hard for many years to develop a concept that allows us to bring our food and hospitality to more people around the country. We hope to one day bring this restaurant to cities nationwide, but Charlotte is the perfect location for our first. I’ve been coming here for years and enjoy the people and the city tremendously. I’m excited for guests to try our new recipe for hand-crafted pizzas. Pizza Bar is the perfect place for dinner (lunch starting in August) with friends, colleagues, date night or even to take your whole family.”
The 120-seat warm and casual restaurant features a new and distinctive Italian-influenced menu with Wolfgang’s unique twist. The menu centers around 18 of Wolfgang’s crispy gourmet pizzas made with newly created artisan dough that takes nine days to produce. Guests also can find delicious soups, salads, appetizers, pastas, grilled items and market specials. The 20-seat bar offers custom cocktails and an extensive wine and beer list highlighting regional wineries and area craft beers.
