Pete Marco
Executive Vice President / Chief Operating Officer
Pete Marco
“We hire very bright people and then allow them to use their brains. That’s a good thing. It’s also unusual.”
Responsible for directing LGA’s internal operations, Pete Marco has extensive media and advertising background that includes 15 years in the newspaper and broadcast industries, as well as two decades in agency media planning and senior account management at LGA. He also is one of the agency’s most avid social media advocates.
Pete remains integrally involved in several of the agency’s longest-standing sports and automotive accounts. He prides himself on having developed the initial marketing strategy for the Wachovia Championship (now called the PGA Tour Quail Hollow Championship), which has remained an LGA client since its creation in 2003, and on having written the presentation that brought the 1994 NCAA Final Four basketball tournament to Charlotte.
LGA staff and clients value Pete because he is a great listener and gives no-nonsense advice. He is especially astute at determining what clients really need based on what they say they want, and sees that LGA delivers.
Pete and his wife Joyce have three children. He is an avid sports enthusiast, loves playing golf and coached youth soccer for many years.
